Kansas City, MO – After a tip from a neighbor’s cousin that sent the Missouri Department of Social Services over to the home, a mentally disabled 17-year old boy was discovered to be handcuffed to a pipe in the basement of his parent’s house . When they entered the basement, they heard someone cry out, “I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything.”
The frail boy emerged from the basement in dirty clothes, sunken-in facial features, and a look of completed desperation in his eyes. He was noted as looking extremely small for his age. He was taken away in an ambulance and is now in the custody of the state
His older brother told authorities that his brother had hit his mother and was “on permanent house arrest.” The teen was handcuffed to the pipe all day and was unchained three times a day to go to the bathroom and that he was given only instant oatmeal, Ramen noodles and bologna sandwiches to eat. Poor kid, my goodness.
An adult that lives in the home told police that the teen was “locked downstairs because in December they let him upstairs and he ate almost an entire bowl of fruit at one time.” What in the ever-loving hell? An actual WHOLE bowl of fruit!? The horror!
Neighbor Ashley Reppy told reporters “You give birth to this child and you are going to handcuff it and lock it and not feed it and not give him water? How do you not take care of your child?”
She also went on to say that she had often seen the victim sleeping on the front porch because his family wouldn’t let him in the house. I’m sorry, WHAT? You saw this emaciated teenage boy sleeping on the front porch and you just felt bad for him from afar? Ashley Reppy – you are an asshole. Why didn’t you take him in and call the police? If you saw that child mistreated and just judged his parents from the warmth of your own home, you SUCK.
It was Ashley’s cousin that called social services from what I can surmise. But not Ashley herself who made sure that she was interviewed to get her 15 minutes of fame. Shame on you.
To add insult to injury, the boy’s parents haven’t been charged yet. Only solace is that a 2-year old that was also in the home has been taken into state custody.
Arrest them all! SO many people failed this boy.
Thanks to everyone who sent in the tips.
