PHOENIX, AZ – A couple running an unlicensed in home daycare were arrested Wednesday and charged with felony child abuse in the death of Savannah Cross (2). Savannah was found not breathing in the couple’s home around 7 am Tuesday morning. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead just 2 weeks before she would have turned 3-years-old.
The couple Allison Ann Clement (28) and Ryan Alan Reed (27) had been providing long term “care” for Savannah since July. Her mother would show up periodically to pay for services and or pick-up Savannah, but had not seen her since Thanksgiving. WTF!
Reed has admitted to abusing Savannah by striking, kicking and grabbing her roughly. The day before she died, he said he tried to step over her and ended up stomping on her. He said he left her in her playpen holding her stomach and moaning. Clement has admitted to witnessing the abuse and doing nothing to stop or seeking medical treatment for Savannah’s injuries. This poor baby, my heart just breaks for her; she had no one to protect her.
According to police Savannah’s body showed obvious signs of trauma, but no official cause of death has been determined. More charges could come after police and prosecutors get the results of the autopsy. As of right now neither “caregiver” has been charged with murder.
Poor Savannah, she probably spent more time than not terrified. This bastard probably sought out reasons to “punish” her and his cowardly cow did nothing about it. Disgusting!
Four other children were in the home at the time of Savannah’s death, including 2 that belonged to Reed and Clement. The couple’s children are now in the custody of the state.
R.I.P. Sweet Savannah, you will most definitely be one of the prettiest angels ever.

Omg….makes me sick to my stomach…..3 years old….she never had a chance…..
Poor, sweet girl. She deserved more than a mother who dumped her off for months at a time with these pieces of trash!
