Times are tough, I get it – I really do. People get down on their luck and can’t find work or the money to pay their bills. But you know what’s free or relatively low-cost? Cleaning up your house. You can buy bleach and windex at the dollar store to clean your whole house with. It’s free to throw diapers in the trash, remove a dead animal from a vent in your home, dispose properly of your tampons, and get rid of the 6 cats that you likely have to feed.
Apparently, 21-year-old Mirinda Buyce and 22-year-old Guy Kearns, didn’t get that memo. They were living in squalor in a trailer in Ft. Myers, Fl that was infested with fleas, flies, maggots, and cockroaches. The flies and maggots were attracted by a dead animal that was in one of the vents in the home. The fleas I assume were attracted to their 6 cats and the cockroaches from all the filth. Oh, and their baby lived there too.
Authorities began to pay attention to the young couple after Guy was reported because of a picture he posted on Facebook of his infant with unexplained bruises. Mirinda told the cops that he got mad and kicked the baby’s car seat across the room while she was strapped in it. Thank God this idiot put something on Facebook that gained him some attention and cops went over to check things out.
When the cops got there though, it wasn’t just an abused baby they found. They found that months-old Neveah was also severely neglected. She was living in a trailer with no electricity or water. There was filth everywhere they turned including food, used feminine products and feces all over. Her mother allowed her to play on the floor of their home, knowing that all those bugs were crawling around. When she was taken tot he hospital, they found that she had maggots nesting in her left ear and a severe infection because of it. Doctors determined that had it been left untreated, she could’ve suffered permanent hearing loss or even died.
Baby Neveah is now living with a relative in Naples, Fl. Her shitty parents were arrested on charges of child neglect without great harm.
Here’s to hoping the relative that she’s with has a clean home and is taking great care of her.
Thanks go to Sarah G for the tip.
